John,
Many thanks for sending this, and I did see the reference and the Device Identities reference. Sounds good and makes total sense and adds to the latest NIST lifecycle piece that Nick covered at the conference.
We will participate. I will assign an active participant and owner, when called for.

Subject: [Esb] ESB interim update Nov 24 - please read/comment
Hi all
Conference Update
A sincere ‘thank you’ to everyone involved in the conference – it’s one of my annual stress points so very grateful for all the help. We’ll be making (most of) the talks available this week to members and registered attendees only. We will make them make them publicly available in the New Year.
We’re trying to make better use of AI tools to help us innovate and be more productive – as a bit of fun, we generated a ‘backstage pass podcast’ – it’s quite amazing what AI can do now – if you’re curious, take a listen: https://iotsecurityfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Backstage-Podc…
Member Interests for 2025
We’re currently reviewing our member focus areas (working groups etc.) and looking at how we evolve the work in the new year. One area that has been suggested is to create an activity on Device Identities. It is early doors, but we think there may be an opportunity to create a focus in this area which is BIGGER than a typical working group. I have 3 points for your consideration:
* If you have an active interest in this area, please let me know and I’ll share access to the (member-led) strawman outline of the ideas.
* @Darron – sorry to single you out but I think this may be useful to DA
* If you have any objections to this, please let me know ASAP and why.
* Else I will assume ‘no particular view or interest’.
Annual Dinner
I look forward to seeing those of you who are attending the dinner next week.
If you are not yet registered but would like to come – please let me know.
What else?
Jan 23: Please don’t forget the next ESB meeting is a virtual meeting on Jan 23 at 2pm – feel free to suggest any topics you’d like to add to the agenda.
Feb 25: We’re making good progress with the AI initiative centred on the TAIBOM project. Please be aware that we are planning an event for Feb 25th at Bletchley Park – details to follow – needless to say that ‘you’re invited’, please mark your calendar if you think you’ll want to come to protect the slot.
We’re also looking to have a physical ‘plenary’ meeting in Q1 – details t.b.d.
And finally (for now)…
‘Thank you’ to Anna for hosting the last ESB meeting – very much appreciated, and it was good to have an ‘in person’ meeting just like the old days!
Please find the meeting notes from the last meeting – apologies for the delay – all files are on Basecamp as per usual.
